As Cathy and Julie got ready to plan for the 5th Annual School Drive, their conversation focused on the increased needs of schools and families and how best to meet those needs.
While soliciting businesses for donations in past years, Cathy and Julie learned that businesses gave supplies and financial contributions to agencies and foundations with non-profit status. After reflection and conversation, Cathy and Julie knew that the next step was to create a non-profit foundation.
In April of 2022, the Helping Children Succeed in School Foundation (HCSS Foundation) was established. The mission of the HCSS Foundation is to provide school supplies to students, families and schools. Cathy and Julie are excited to start the HCSS Foundation! They are excited about the possibilities of helping even more families and schools!
