During the 2022-23 school year, the HCSS Foundation was proud to enter into partnerships with 4 area schools to support individual students and school initiatives.
Our partnership with Avondale Middle School and Eliseo C Felix School focused on their goal to improve student attendance. HCSS provided over 500 ice cream treats and 90 raffle prizes to students at both schools who met the quarterly attendance goal. Each quarter students were congratulated, celebrated and encouraged to keep coming to school as they enjoyed their treat. Students and staff agreed that the quarterly attendance celebrations were a highlight of each quarter and a great way to encourage students to come to school. Two students from Avondale Middle School and two students from Eliseo C Felix School were surprised with treats and a Target gift card for having perfect attendance the entire school year!
